Rubber packing tapes are the second type of products in this category. The connecting layer of these tapes is made of natural rubber, which has excellent adhesion properties. It is worth noting that it is a material with excellent parameters - resistant to high and low temperatures and humidity fluctuations. We offer packing tape Molta Solvent Plus which is natural rubber tape, and it is used to secure demanding packages - both in terms of weight and the conditions in which they will be transported or stored.
The tape’s parameters are 48mm x 60y. It comes in 2160 rol/pallet.
Rubber tapes are especially valued where reliable and strong joining of surfaces is required. They are characterized by high adhesive strength, which secures even heavy shipments. It is also worth using them to glue parcels containing valuable or fragile items. The use of rubber tape guarantees proper and durable bonding of the surface.
The adhesive layer of rubber tapes is an adhesive made of natural rubber. In addition to excellent adhesive properties, rubber adhesive is also valued for maintaining its parameters in unfavorable and changing weather conditions. It copes very well in a humid environment, in high and low temperatures.
Acrylic or rubber tape - which one to choose?
Both acrylic tapes and rubber tapes have the same carrier, i.e. polypropylene (PP). A rubber or acrylic adhesive is applied to this base. Acrylic is a water-based adhesive that is very good at connecting surfaces, primarily smooth, but also slippery. When it comes to strength parameters in various conditions, especially the more demanding ones, it performs slightly worse than rubber. It has lower resistance to moisture and low temperatures, as well as lower mechanical resistance. It should be mainly used to secure lighter weight shipments. It is best suited for joining surfaces made of paper, including cardboard and foil.
